Dear Friends,
This year has
been so full of
fun and I can
unequivocally
say that
everything I've
done is better
than spending
time in ICU.
I am grateful to
be alive and
back on my feet.
Last month I
released 18,000
ladybugs in my
back yard (with
the help of all
the neighborhood
kids.)
What a complete
blast.
On
writing news:
I attended the
Emily Conference
in February, the
NOLA conference
in March, and I
have just now
returned home
from the
Romantic Times
Bookclub
Convention. I
even got to ask
one of the
questions to the
guys on stage at
the Dorchester
Cover Model
contest!
(Watch my
website for
photos of the
cover models!)
In August I will
be attending the
Australian
Romantic
Writer's
Convention.
Defiant,
my fourth book,
another medieval
romance is
scheduled to be
out in December.
It is already
listed on
Amazon.com for
pre-release
orders
http://www.amazon.com/Defiant-Jessica-Trapp/dp/1420100955/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1272737879&sr=8-1.
As a happy
thrill, The
Pleasures of Sin
was recently
chosen as a
finalist in both
the Gayle Wilson
Awards and
Wisconsin's
Write
Reader's Touch
contest.
The WisRWA is
part of the
Romance Writers
of America, a
national
non-profit
organization
with
8,000 members
worldwide.
I am so grateful
for the
opportunities
that have
crossed my path.
Thank you to
everyone for
your support and
love.
Many blessings,
Jes

Mexican Chicken
Casserole -
Texas Style
In a
skillet add:
1 boiled
chicken,
deboned, cut
into bite sized
pieces----save
broth
1 onion finely
chopped -- cook
in skillet in
about 1/2 cup
broth until
translucent
Add to skillet:
1 can cream of
mushroom soup
1 can cream of
chicken or
celery soup 1
can Rotel
tomatoes 1
can of green
chilies (if you
like it spicy)
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp chili
powder Add
cut-up chicken
and about a cup
or two of broth
so the mixture
will not be dry
when cooked
(Additional
ingredients
required.
See Directions
section)
Directions:
Stir and simmer
above in
skillet.
Spray 13" X 9"
casserole dish
with non-stick
spray.
In the casserole
dish, place one
layer of crushed
corn chips
(regular
flavor). Cover
with one layer
of above
mixture.
Add a layer of
cheese. Use
Velveeta because
it melts better
and is richer
than regular
cheese. Add a
layer of chips
and the final
layer of the
remaining meat
mixture. Add
grated cheddar
cheese or
Velveeta sliced
over the top.
Bake at 350
about 30 minutes
-- cover with
foil. Remove
foil and brown
just enough to
add color to the
cheese (it
should be a
light brown).
Mixture boils
around the edges
when hot enough.
Let cool for 15
minutes before
serving.
Enjoy!

Ladybug Release
|
|
With friends and
family, we
released 18,000
ladybugs in my
backyard.
It was a hoot
watching the
kids--some loved
holding the bugs
and others were
completely
freaked out by
them.
Wonderful fun
for everybody!
